Yellow Card announced November 4 that it acquired Brazilian virtual-asset service provider GoMoney, a transaction the company said was completed in October.

The acquisition establishes Yellow Card’s direct operations in Brazil and adds local collections and disbursements in Brazilian reais through Pix, according to the company. That local connection is intended to make stablecoin-based cross-border payments more practical for businesses with Brazilian counterparties.

A local payout rail can reduce the number of intermediaries between a digital settlement asset and a recipient’s bank account, but it does not remove licensing, identity, sanctions, liquidity or consumer-protection obligations. Availability also depends on which customers and transaction types are approved in the Brazilian operation.

The companies did not disclose transaction terms, customer counts or volume forecasts. The announcement establishes the acquisition and planned payment capability, not guaranteed cost savings or universal access to Brazilian-real settlement.
