We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix the story, say what changed, and leave the record visible rather than editing quietly.

Reporting an error
Email corrections@fincrunch.example with the article headline, the specific sentence at issue, and — where possible — the source that contradicts it. This inbox reaches the standards editor rather than the reporter who wrote the piece.
We aim to acknowledge every report within one business day and to resolve it within three. If a claim is contested rather than plainly wrong, we will say what we have established and what remains disputed.
How we categorize changes
Correction
A factual error: a wrong number, name, date, attribution or characterization. We fix the text and append a dated note to the article stating what was wrong and what it now says.
Clarification
The original was accurate but open to being misread. We sharpen the wording and note the change.
Update
New developments added to a running story. Not an error, and labeled separately so it is not confused with one.

No corrections have been issued yet. This log is published empty rather than hidden — when we issue our first correction, it will appear here with a date and a description of what changed.
