StraitsX and Visa expand stablecoin-backed card issuing to more than 100 markets
The infrastructure is designed to let fintechs, digital-asset platforms and wallets connect stablecoin balances to Visa card programs through a unified issuing stack.

StraitsX and Visa announced October 26 that they are expanding StraitsX’s stablecoin-backed card issuing infrastructure to more than 100 markets globally.
The service is designed for fintechs, digital-asset platforms and wallets that want to build card programs connecting stablecoin balances to Visa’s payment network. StraitsX provides the infrastructure layer while each program remains subject to applicable regulation, compliance controls and Visa requirements.
A unified issuing stack can reduce the need for each platform to build separate card-program integrations across markets. It does not mean that every program automatically has access to every country, currency, card feature or stablecoin; those details depend on licensing, partners, local rules and the specific program design.
The companies did not publish a list of individual markets, launch dates for each program, customer-volume forecasts or commercial terms. The more-than-100-market figure describes the announced infrastructure reach, not confirmed consumer adoption.
