RD Technologies upgrades cross-border payment ecosystem around RDUSD
The Hong Kong fintech said its expanded ecosystem will connect RDUSD stablecoin settlement with fiat payment rails and explore trade-finance links between Africa and Asia.

RD Technologies announced November 2 an upgrade to its cross-border payment ecosystem, adding support for RDUSD and new partnerships intended to connect digital settlement with fiat payment rails.
RDUSD is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, according to the announcement. RD Technologies said the expanded ecosystem will support cross-border payments and explore trade settlement between Africa and Asia, where businesses often manage multiple currencies, correspondent relationships and settlement delays.
A stablecoin can provide a shared settlement asset, but the last mile still depends on regulated issuers, local payout accounts, liquidity, identity checks and the ability to redeem into usable fiat. The quality of those connections matters more to a business than the token’s transfer speed alone.
The announcement did not disclose transaction forecasts, commercial pricing or a confirmed launch date for every Africa–Asia corridor. Partnership plans should not be read as universal availability or a guarantee of faster or cheaper settlement for every customer.
