Razorpay launches GIFT City infrastructure after receiving final PSP license
The payments company said the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City operation will support cross-border payments, fintech partnerships and international expansion.

Razorpay announced November 2 that it had received its final Payment System Provider license for its GIFT City operation and launched the associated infrastructure.
The company said the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City platform will support cross-border payments, fintech partnerships and international expansion. Razorpay described the operation as a bridge between its domestic payments business and broader global payment infrastructure.
A regulated presence in GIFT City can give a payments company a base for international settlement and partnerships, but the license does not make every product available in every corridor. Merchants and partners still need to confirm supported currencies, rails, onboarding, compliance responsibilities and settlement terms.
Razorpay did not disclose transaction-volume forecasts, revenue attributable to the operation or a universal launch timetable for every planned service. The announcement establishes the license and infrastructure launch, not guaranteed cross-border savings or adoption.
