PhotonPay announced October 29 that it closed a $40 million Series C funding round led by Blockchain Capital. SBI Group participated as a new investor, while IDG Capital, GL Ventures and Lightspeed Faction followed on, according to the company.

PhotonPay describes its product as a stablecoin-centric financial operating system that connects onchain liquidity with global fiat banking, clearing and card networks. The company said it plans to use the capital to scale that infrastructure and develop an agent-ready financial execution layer.

Stablecoin infrastructure can shorten the path between digital-asset liquidity and conventional payment operations, but the model still depends on banking access, reserve and redemption processes, compliance, local rails and the reliability of counterparties. Those constraints matter as much as the blockchain settlement layer for corporate users.

PhotonPay did not disclose a post-money valuation, revenue, customer count or a detailed deployment schedule. The $40 million figure is the announced financing amount, not a forecast of transaction volume or profitability.
