Hyphenate raises $45 million Series A to expand autonomous finance platform for CFOs
The New York startup, formerly known as Maximor, will use the round led by Nexus Venture Partners to extend its AI agents into finance and strategic-finance workflows.

Hyphenate announced October 27 that it raised a $45 million Series A led by Nexus Venture Partners. B Capital and existing investors Foundation Capital, BoldCap and Gaia Ventures also participated.
The New York-based company, formerly known as Maximor, describes itself as an autonomous finance platform for the office of the CFO. It plans to use the financing to extend its AI agents deeper into finance and strategic-finance functions, according to the announcement.
AI agents in finance can automate recurring analysis and workflow steps, but their value depends on source-data quality, permissioning, review controls and clear accountability for decisions. Finance teams still need to validate outputs before using them for reporting, forecasting or controls.
Hyphenate said the round brings total funding to $54 million. The company did not disclose customer metrics, revenue, valuation or a precise product rollout schedule.
