Birch Hill raises $4 million seed round to build regulated onchain credit products
The round led by Multicoin Capital will support Birch Hill’s work on bringing structured credit and loan securitization to public blockchains.

Birch Hill announced October 28 that it raised a $4 million seed round led by Multicoin Capital to build infrastructure for credit and structured products on public blockchains.
The round also included ParaFi Capital, Castle Island Ventures and Nascent, according to the company. Birch Hill said it plans to use the capital to build a regulated path for onchain credit products, including the securitization of multifamily, agriculture and energy loans.
Putting loan records or interests onchain can improve transferability and reporting, but it does not change the underlying underwriting, servicing, disclosure or securities-law obligations. The risk of a tokenized credit product remains tied to the loans, legal structure, servicing and enforcement process behind it.
Birch Hill said the financing brings its total funding to $6.5 million. The company did not disclose product launch timing, expected transaction volume or investor returns.
