Visa moves USDC prefunding for Visa Direct payouts into commercial operation
Inyo Global is the first processor to offer the capability, allowing eligible businesses to prefund cross-border payouts with USDC while recipients continue receiving fiat currency.

Visa said October 15 that its stablecoin-enabled prefunding capability for Visa Direct had moved from pilot into commercial production, with Inyo Global as the first processor to offer it.
Eligible businesses using Inyo can prefund cross-border Visa Direct payouts with USDC through Inyo's existing platform and API connection. Recipients continue to receive fiat currency, so the stablecoin is used on the funding side of the payout rather than presented as the recipient's payment balance.
The structure is designed to reduce the need for a business to pre-position local currency in every market before sending payouts. It does not remove foreign-exchange, compliance, liquidity or reconciliation work; those responsibilities still depend on the processor, corridor and payout partner.
Commercial availability depends on eligibility and geography, and Visa did not say that every Visa Direct customer can use the capability immediately. The announcement also does not establish a universal settlement time or cost for all cross-border payouts.
