Veriv announced October 8 that it had launched a unified financial-verification network and acquired bankVOD, combining a new verification platform with bankVOD's two decades of institutional knowledge and relationships with financial institutions.

The company says Veriv is designed to standardize verification workflows across mortgage, consumer and commercial lending, commercial audits and government programs. The network is intended to connect financial-institution data and verification processes that are often handled through separate portals, documents and manual reviews.

The acquisition gives Veriv an established base of bank relationships and domain experience rather than requiring the new platform to build every institution connection from scratch. That can matter in verification infrastructure, where coverage and data provenance are often more important to a lender than the interface itself.

The business also sits close to sensitive decisions. Income, asset and account verification can affect whether a person receives a mortgage or loan, so data accuracy, consent, access controls and a clear audit trail are material parts of the product—not optional features added after distribution.

Financial terms of the bankVOD acquisition were not disclosed. Veriv has not published a detailed customer-volume or revenue forecast for the combined business.
