The Bancorp launched Finetics on October 7, positioning the offering as a bank-led embedded-finance platform for nonbank companies that want to add financial services inside their own digital products.

The initial capabilities include instant payouts, prepaid cards and digital wallets, along with other financial tools delivered through prebuilt deployments or tailored modules. Customers can use The Bancorp's APIs and choose between end-to-end program management and a more modular integration, according to the company.

The launch packages capabilities The Bancorp already provides through its banking-as-a-service infrastructure under a single product identity. For businesses building marketplaces, payroll products or vertical software, the appeal is having a regulated bank partner handle the account, card and payments plumbing while the nonbank owns the customer-facing experience.

A bank-led model also leaves program design and compliance allocation important. The nonbank product owner still needs to define how funds move, how customers are identified, how disputes are handled and what disclosures appear in the experience; the bank relationship does not make those operational questions disappear.

The Bancorp did not disclose customer-specific volume or financial projections for Finetics at launch.
