Robinhood and T. Rowe Price explore tokenized access to an actively managed ETF
The early-stage project would use Robinhood Chain to represent economic exposure to a T. Rowe Price fund, but the companies have not announced a fund, ticker, launch date or pricing structure.

Robinhood Crypto and T. Rowe Price Digital Assets are exploring a tokenized product linked to an actively managed exchange-traded fund on Robinhood Chain, the companies said October 9. The project remains exploratory and is not a launched investment product.
The proposed structure would represent economic exposure to a T. Rowe Price fund through a blockchain-based token. The companies have not announced which fund would be used, a ticker, a launch date, a price, or whether the final structure would give holders direct ownership of fund shares. Current descriptions characterize the token as a debt security tied to the fund's economics rather than direct ownership of the underlying ETF.
That distinction matters. A token that tracks a fund's economic performance without conveying the same ownership rights may carry different voting, custody, liquidity and insolvency characteristics from an ETF share, even if the two are designed to move together in value. The legal and operational details would determine how investors are protected if the token trades away from its reference asset.
The proposal still requires legal due diligence, board approval and regulatory clearances. Neither company has said when those steps could be complete or whether the product would be available to retail customers, institutions, or both.
The project reflects the broader push by brokerages and asset managers to put traditional investment products on blockchain rails, but it should not be read as a product launch or an indication that a specific T. Rowe Price ETF has been selected.
