HL Hunt Pay's AI Assistant lets you run your payments operation from a chat window

Beyond its dispute and billing agents, HL Hunt Pay markets a conversational assistant that sends invoices, issues refunds and pulls revenue reports on command, alongside hosted, embedded and API-based checkout options and native support for buy-now-pay-later and usage-based billing.

HL Hunt Financial's AI Payment Processing product, HL Hunt Pay, markets a feature beyond the dispute-handling and invoice-chasing agents previously covered on this site: an AI Assistant that HL Hunt says lets a merchant run their entire payments operation from a chat window, in plain English rather than through a dashboard.

Per HL Hunt's own site, the assistant handles requests like sending a branded invoice to a specific email address, processing a refund for a named order number, generating a recurring payment link at a set monthly price, or answering a question like how much revenue was processed in a given week — with the site showing a sample exchange in which the assistant confirms an invoice was sent, notes it will follow up automatically if unpaid within 7 days, and separately reports a specific week's processed volume, transaction count, and next payout amount.

The same product page also details HL Hunt Pay's checkout options — a hosted checkout page requiring no code, an embeddable checkout component that keeps customers on the merchant's own site while payment fields stay inside HL Hunt's PCI-compliant vault, and a full custom API integration for developers building bespoke flows — alongside native support for one-time payments, subscriptions with proration and smart retries, usage-based metered billing, and buy-now-pay-later installment plans, which HL Hunt markets as replacing the need for separate third-party billing tools.

HL Hunt's site also publishes a self-authored comparison table positioning its 2.4%-plus-30-cents starting rate, 0% FX markup on 150-plus currencies, and "never shut down your processing account" policy against Stripe and Square's publicly listed pricing. Those competitor figures and the account-retention claim are HL Hunt's own characterizations, drawn from public pricing pages as of 2026, and have not been independently verified by FinCrunch.
