Confido raises $55 million Series B for AI platform unifying CPG brands’ finance, sales and operations data

Insight Partners led the round, which brings the consumer packaged goods finance startup’s total funding to $77 million as it pitches a single system of record across accounting, sales and supply data for a sector still leaning on spreadsheets.

Confido, a startup building an AI-powered platform that unifies finance, accounting, sales and operations data for consumer packaged goods brands, announced a $55 million Series B led by Insight Partners. Trenches Capital, Watchfire and Barrel Ventures joined as new investors, alongside returning backers Footwork and Y Combinator. The round brings Confido’s total disclosed funding to $77 million.

The company’s pitch targets a structural pain point in the CPG industry: brands often run finance, inventory, retailer-deduction and sales-performance data across disconnected spreadsheets and point tools, making it slow to answer basic questions like true product-level margin after trade spend, chargebacks and freight. Confido positions its platform as a single system that ingests those data sources and uses AI to reconcile and surface them for finance and operations teams.

CPG has drawn increasing venture interest as a vertical for AI-native finance tooling, following a broader pattern of specialized AI platforms targeting industries whose back-office data has historically been fragmented across ERP, e-commerce and retailer-portal systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

Confido has not disclosed customer counts, revenue figures or a valuation tied to this round. As with any AI platform pitched on data unification, the practical test will be how well it performs the reconciliation work across the messy, non-standardized data formats that retailers and distributors actually send brands, rather than the cleaner data sets used in product demonstrations.
