Canadian customers of Wayfair, Joss & Main, AllModern and Birch Lane can now split purchases into interest-free installments or finance larger orders, extending a US-only arrangement north of the border.

Wayfair and Klarna said this week that Canadian shoppers can now access Klarna's full suite of flexible payment options at checkout, a capability the two companies had previously offered only to US customers.

The expanded arrangement lets Canadian buyers pay in full, split a purchase into interest-free installments, or finance larger orders over a longer term. It applies across Wayfair's portfolio of home-goods brands, including Joss & Main, AllModern and Birch Lane, rather than the flagship site alone.

Furniture and home goods have been a steady proving ground for buy-now-pay-later products because average order values are high enough that splitting payment materially changes a shopper's willingness to buy, and return rates are lower than in categories like apparel. Wayfair and Klarna have run a BNPL partnership in the US market for several years; extending the same mechanics to Canada signals Klarna's continued push to deepen existing retail relationships geographically rather than only adding new merchants.

Neither company disclosed transaction volume or uptake projections tied to the Canadian rollout. Financing terms, including any promotional interest-free windows, are set per order at checkout and subject to Klarna's underwriting.
